Team Gertee Rides Like the Wind – Nicky Raapana

We spend a little over $4,000 (the dome and roof insulation cost the bulk of our expenses) to make our mostly sourced from the property, dumpstered or traded material yurt. Its a lot of money if you don’t have any but on the other hand its less than some peoples rent for a year.

Nevertheless you may not have that kind of money, time to build your own or maybe you can’t afford rent anymore and you don’t know where to go?  Yurt communities are popping gup like the above one in Alaska.
